Yoga Therapy

Yoga Therapy is a form of therapy that uses ancient yogic knowledge and techniques to facilitate healing and empower you to manage your own health. No yoga experience is needed to begin and it can be applied in a wide range of circumstances.

A Yoga Therapist is an experienced yoga teacher with extra training.  This includes bio-medical knowledge and assessment skills. A Yoga Therapists assists the individual rather than focusing on the condition.  To do that, they use a combination of techniques.  These might include postures, breath work, meditation, healthy eating advice, lifestyle counseling or self-development guidance.

Each person receives a thorough assessment and a tailored practice based on their own needs. Yoga therapy is not just a short term treatment option but a long term lifestyle choice. Yoga Therapists can work with other health professionals and also refer one if care is needed outside of their skills.

Yoga therapy is an active rather than a passive therapy which means it is empowering for the client.  This makes it perfect for those who want to actively make change.  We design a unique plan to suit each person’s schedule as everybody is different! Clients usually come for a few sessions to allow for progression but the aim is to empower you to continue on your own.
